My name is Alan Woodward.  People call me the Woodman.  Officially trained as a materials engineer, I now spend my time making an incredible array of projects that leave people saying “WoW, you made that?”  Let me take you on a tour and show you some of these projects. I hope this site will stir up the woodworking juices in you like paint in a bucket.

Space Flight – The Second Launch

At the Huntsville Alabama rocket command center sometime around 1961, three hard working engineers sat at the control console and discussed how they would launch the first Redstone rocket into space.  Milton, the not-so-hard working engineer was off playing Shut the Box.
